Entry Description

Someone once asked me what do you see in A Horse?? I See Freedom, Spirit, Strength, Heart, Honesty AND Therapy. When I ride I get a bit of all the above. When you are having a bad or challenging day; saddling up and riding takes all your worries away. Riding truly is therapeutic. My mare was severely abused 2 years ago by 2 juvenile neighbor boys which led to the removal of her eye. She was only given a 20% to 30% chance of surviving. I am proud to say, she has come back 100%. There is nothing that she used to do that she can't do now. She rides in parades, rides in rodeos, carrying rodeo queens with their flags, team ropes, team sorts, barrel races, gymkhana, trail riding and trail trials. There are sooo many enjoyable things you can do from the back of a horse. And honestly, there’s nothin’ in life that’s worth doin’, if it can’t be done from a horse. To sum it up, like Winston Churchill once said...There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.

Happy

Thank You, and YES they can give us our life back. Was heartbroken to read of the abuse, and truly happy to learn of the successful recovery. I've never understood why some feel they must abuse. Take Care and God Bless PS: She's a fine looking mare.

Awsome horse!!!!

LynnANDGidjet

A woman after my own heart. Most people would have "thrown her away" because she was broken. True love of animals can overcome the worst of odds. You two are living proof of that! Love you! Lynn & Gidjet

JackiMoxley

Thank you sooo much Lynn and Gidjet....love you both too!

I agree with the previous comments completely!! The owner of this horse is such a beautiful person inside and out. She truly LOVES animals and has a wonderful, giving heart. I hope she wins because she certainly deserves it!!!

JackiMoxley

Aah...thank you for your support and kind words Norma!

Shelly

The owner of this horse deserves to win this contest with out a shadow of a doubt. Jackie has dedicated a good portion of her adult hood to the care of horses , rodeos, animal care etc. and besides all that, she has had many struggles, and heartaches in her life and has persevered to over come all of it! Because of all I just mentioned she has risen to the highest levels of unselfishness.. She is an amazing, wonderful friend, wife, mother, and just an all around wonderful person. Love you J!
